Box dieline generator.
One sentence in, print-ready layers out.

Foldyn is being built so you can describe your box in a single sentence (size, materials, finishes) and get a die-line with cut and fold marks, foil, UV and emboss on their own plates, and automated prepress checks. The first release is designed for rigid lid-and-base (two-piece) gift boxes. Early access opens 20 October. Join the waitlist now.

What it’s designed to do

Built around files your printer can work from

Foldyn’s goal is to turn your brief into stacked production files (die-line, print, foil, UV and emboss) and check them before they leave. Early access opens 20 October.

Automated prepress checks

Checks on every file

Foldyn is designed to run automated prepress checks on the die-line and artwork before anything is exported, so problems surface before they reach the printer.

  • Die-lines with cut and fold marks
  • Vector PDF and SVG print artwork
Foil separations

Each finish on its own plate

Gold foil, spot UV and emboss are designed to ship as separate, labelled separations, not a flat composite, so your printer can make the plates from the file.

  • Foil, UV and emboss as separate plates
  • Clean, labelled layers for the press floor

Always confirm with a printer proof before production.

Launch box style

Starting with the rigid lid-and-base box

Foldyn’s first release is designed for one box style: the rigid lid-and-base (two-piece) gift box. More box styles are planned and will come later.

Rigid lid-and-base box

A two-piece set-up box: a separate lid and base made from greyboard and wrapped in printed paper. The classic premium gift box, and the style Foldyn is designed for at launch.

Board and wrap work together

Rigid boxes are built from greyboard, then wrapped in printed paper that turns in over the edges, so the artwork has to account for the wrap as well as the panels.

More box styles planned

Other box styles are planned and will come later. We’re not committing to dates yet. Join the waitlist to hear when they arrive.

How it will work

03 — Print

Send to your printer

You’ll get vector PDF and SVG with each finish on its own layer. Approve a printer proof, then go to production.

FAQ

Questions

Can I use Foldyn today?

Not yet. Early access opens on 20 October 2026. Join the waitlist now and we’ll email you when it opens.

Which box styles will Foldyn support at launch?

At launch Foldyn is designed for one style: the rigid lid-and-base (two-piece) gift box. More box styles are planned and will come later. We’re not committing to dates yet.

How is this different from a box template?

A template gives you a static outline to draw on. Foldyn is designed to build the die-line from your description, add the finishing plates as separate layers, and run automated prepress checks on the result.

Do I need design software?

The first release is planned as a desktop skill that runs alongside the design software you already use. A cloud version that needs no install is coming later. See ways to use Foldyn.

Will I be able to send the files straight to print?

Files are designed to be print-ready and checked automatically. As with any print job, always confirm with a printer proof before production.

What will it cost?

Launch pricing is listed on the main page. Join the waitlist to hear first. No spam, no auto-billing.
